The Dogtown Boat Ramp project is complete.
The improved ramp will go further out into the Ohio River, allowing boaters to unload and load more easily and safely.
Parks Board members say this construction project is overdue and that it will help protect the boats and trailers.
Boaters have complained that the old ramp damaged boats and trailers.
The board had hoped to repair Dogtown's ramps last year, but the river was too high.
Deputy Director Glenn Boberg says if it protects those boats, it's money well spent.
"We're putting a new, concrete, pre-cast concrete ramps that will go out further into the Ohio River, and give them more opportunity to be able to get away from having any kind of damage on their boats," Boberg told 14 News back in June, just before the project began.
