EPD seeking old photos, memorabilia | News
Title (Max 100 Characters)
In advance of the 150th anniversary of the Evansville Police Department, the public is being asked to help establish a visual history display. The police department memorabilia will be displayed in a pictorial history book, as well as placed on display in the Civic Center.
In 2013, the Police Department will celebrate 150 years of serving and protecting the citizens of Evansville. Through the years, there have been many different uniform styles and many changes in police equipment and technology. This will be a way to honor those who have served the community and a chance for today’s generations to see local history on display.
Anyone with old pictures of Evansville Police Department Officers or old Evansville police equipment who would like to contribute to the history project is asked to contact Deputy Chief Brad Hill at 812-436-4030.
All items used in the history project will be returned to the owners.
