Evansville woman arrested in DUI accident
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE)- An Evansville woman has been arrested under charges of drunk driving. Authorities say she hit another vehicle and left the scene.
Sheriff's Deputies say Mary Maurer, 59, was turning into Westbrook Mobile Home Park on St. Joe Avenue Tuesday afternoon when she struck a minivan. Deputies say she left the scene and went to her home a block away.
Three people were in the minivan, including two children, but no one was hurt.
Maurer is in the Vanderburgh County Jail charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .15 or more, and hit and run.
