 Not one, but two meth busts were made by EPD officers on Maryland Street early Friday.  One man was arrested  at a home on East Maryland.

Evansville Police say a meth lab found and dismantled early Friday could have been a "volatile" situation.

Police driving through the area about 3:45 a.m. say an odor was detected that prompted them to check out the residence.

Inside the home at 626 E. Maryland Street., they say they found two one pot meth labs that were cooking, along with meth making ingredients.

36-year-old James William Thomas was arrested. Investigators say they're looking for two more suspects in the case.

Deputies arrested three suspects in what they say was an early morning meth bust at 9333 West Boonville-New Harmony Rd Wednesday.

The call came in around 3 a.m. when deputies passing through the area say they detected a strong smell of anhydrous ammonia.

Evansville police say a man on a motorcycle led them on a high speed chase near Reitz High School early Sunday morning.

An officer running radar clocked a Yellow Suzuki bike traveling at 57 miles per hour in a 40 zone at the Lloyd Expressway and Fulton about 1:20 a.m. 

Instead of pulling over when the officer hit his lights and siren, police say the rider ran the red light at the Llloyd and St.

Woman charged with stealing money from retirement home resident

A 30-year-old Evansville woman is in jail on felony theft charges after police say she stole money from a retirement home resident.

Police say the elderly woman's son contacted detectives after he noticed money taken from his mom's purse.

Detectives say after the son became suspicious of the Holiday Retirement Village employee, Thai Welch, he placed different amounts of money in his mom's possession.

Two Evansville men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a deposit box outside the west side branch of Integra Bank earlier this week.

Five people are in jail after an early morning meth bust in Evansville.

Police say they got a tip that two people were cooking meth on Read Street.  They arrived to the home and after talking with the landlord, they were let inside to speak with the residents. 

In a back bedroom, police say they found a meth lab in plain sight.
