Two arrested at home with meth, kids inside | Crime
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Not one, but two meth busts were made by EPD officers on Maryland Street early Friday. One man was arrested at a home on East Maryland.
Meanwhile, at 909 W. Maryland St., authorities say they found several other meth making ingredients including Liquid Fire, corner-cut plastic baggies, and a distinct smell of ether.
Police arrested Ronald Haire and have charged him with possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia. They also arrested Haire's girlfriend, Joy Zentmyer, on a previous warrant.
Police say the suspects had prior offenses of purchasing pseudoephedrine, which is a common meth making ingredient.
Police say they also found two children in the house, ages seven and nine. The police report states that the children were under the care of Felicia Haire, who claims to be the sole resident of the house.
Police say she had custody of the children because of Ronald's former drug problems, and that he only had visitation rights.
The EDP is still investigating the situation and say more arrests might be made.
