Evansville duo arrested on meth charges; kids, pets removed | Crime

Acting on a tip, Evansville Police arrested two west side residents on meth making charges Tuesday night.
Officers say they came to the home at 106 W. Maryland Street and discovered items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Two small children were living in the residence as well as five dogs and two birds.
Robert Lester, 31, and Krystal Ray, 26, were arrested on charges of meth manufacturing and neglect of a dependent.
The Meth Suppression Unit's detectives say they found two one pot meth labs inside the home.
The two children were placed with Child Protective Services. Animal control took custody of the dogs and birds.
Lester and Ray are in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
